Okay, so I ask for stories to scribble for
this site. Real or made up. I've got another website and I
don't get a lot of email. So I figured this request would go mostly
ignored, especially in the first few weeks of this site. So imagine
my glee when one reader decided to send me her story. Ila, you are
the first person to email me in regards to this site. Here it Ila's
story: (my comments are in the red and I edited the
story somewhat).
| Hello, I really like your site (it
is always good to butter up the artist). It is a neat
idea. I read your request for childhood memories and thought
I'd send you one. My name is Ila (last
name withheld for her privacy) and school was not a very
pleasant experience for me. For starters I have nappy red
hair, lots of freckles and poor eyesight which required thick
glasses. Needless to say I was teased relentlessly. |

I had to eat lunch by myself and throughout school I
never had a close friend. My mother use to always tell me that
the real world was nothing like school. That when I went to
college things would change. People wouldn't make fun of me
based on my appearance. You know what? My mom lied. |
Wow. Ila, where's my happy ending???.
Hey, there are jerks of all ages out there, whether it be 1st grade or
college. I suspect you haven't found the real "cool" kids
yet. Check out the art department. All the cool people hang
out there. And, listen up, I'll let you roll with me and my crew any
day of the week. Feel free to email or IM me anytime. You are
now part of my ever growing army. Welcome, Ila. |
